What do my contributions pay for?
The reality is that the children within the home will be financially dependant on St Laurence from the time they enter to the time they become adults.

Your contributions provide them with a home to live in, water and lights, a balanced diet, transport, school fees, clothing medication and, where possible, outings for the children.

Other needs that the children may have and that ordinary people take for granted include:

• School uniforms

• Winter and summer clothes

• Pajamas

• Takkies, shoes and sandals

• Tin food

• Cleaning and domestic products

• Paint for outside of the home

Development fund

Many of these children have nowhere to go when they reach school leaving age and the the haven has also started a fund to help our kids.

The aim is to help them through university and college or finding them employment, so that they can become productive members of South African society. The fund is aiming to provide a transitional house when the time comes.
